Questions and answers
Shipping, returns, labels, taking the herbs and your account. If your question is not here, write to us and a person will reply.
Orders and shipping
Where does my order ship from?
From the UK (Dewsbury, West Yorkshire). Orders placed on this store ship the same or next working day. Ordering for the USA? Our US store (raintree.com, prices in dollars) ships from the USA: use the store switcher on our site.
How quickly will my order arrive?
We ship the same or next working day. After that, delivery on this store is usually 2 to 5 working days; Priority is about £6 and takes 1 to 2 working days. For other countries, times and prices vary by destination and service, so we do not quote fixed figures: add the items to your basket and the options for your address show there, before you enter any payment details.
How much is shipping?
Free on orders over £35 on this store. Trade accounts get free shipping over £100. Below that, add the items to your basket and open it: every shipping option and its price is shown there, before you enter any details. Full details on the Shipping & Delivery page.
My parcel is late, or the tracking has stopped
Economy international parcels are handed to your national postal service once they leave the country of dispatch, and the tracking page then shows a second number for that service. Give that second number to your local post office, not the first one. Most delays happen at customs in the destination country. If your parcel is well past the time quoted at checkout, write to us with your order number and we will chase it.
Will I pay customs or import charges?
Possibly, if your order crosses a border. Charges are set by your country and collected by the carrier or postal service on delivery; they are not included in our prices. Orders delivered within the country the store ships from are not affected.
Can I change or cancel an order?
If it has not shipped, yes. Write to us straight away with the order number. Orders usually ship within hours, so the sooner the better.
Returns and refunds
What is your returns policy?
Unopened items are refunded within 180 days of delivery. If you opened a product and it is not for you, we refund one opened bottle per product on your first order of that product. Damaged, faulty or wrong items: tell us within 30 days of delivery and we replace or refund at our cost, return postage included. Sale and clearance items and trade orders are not covered by the 180-day guarantee, though faulty or wrong items are always put right. UK customers also keep their statutory 14-day right to cancel an online order, and their rights over faulty goods. Full terms on the Returns & Refunds page.
How do I start a return?
Write to us with your order number and the product. We reply with the returns address for your store and what to do next. Return postage is yours unless the fault is ours; then we pay it and refund your original shipping too.
When will I get my refund?
The product price goes back to the payment method you used once the return is confirmed. Refunds usually appear within 5 to 7 business days of being processed.
Products and labels
What is on a Raintree label?
The plant and its Latin name, the part used, where it comes from and the amount in each capsule. For a single herb, the only other ingredient is the capsule shell. The lot number is printed on the bottle. Formulas list every botanical in label order.
What is the capsule made of?
Hypromellose, a plant cellulose. Our capsules are vegan and contain no gelatin.
Do your capsules contain fillers, binders or flow agents?
No. Only the plant part and the capsule shell.
Where are your products made?
The herbs are harvested at peak potency in the Amazon rainforest and the Andes, dried, shipped to the USA and encapsulated there. Every batch is tested for heavy metals, mould, yeast and pathogens before release. More on the Why Raintree? page.
Are your herbs organic?
Most of our herbs are wild-harvested from living plants rather than farmed; a few, such as bitter melon, are grown. We do not sell them as certified organic. Each herb guide says how that herb is sourced.
Why do some products say "wild-harvested" and others "grown"?
Most of our herbs are gathered from living wild plants, so their labels and guides say "wild-harvested". A few are farmed crops, such as maca, artichoke and bitter melon, and those say "grown". Each herb guide says how that herb is sourced.
How should I store the bottle?
Cool, dry and out of direct sun, with the lid closed.
Taking the herbs
How do I take a Raintree product?
Follow the directions on the label and on the product page. Take for three months, then review with your health practitioner.
Can I take two products together?
Many customers do. Each product page says what it is often taken alongside. If you are considering combining products, talk to your health practitioner first.
Which product is right for me?
Start with the shop, which groups our products by type, or read the herb guides to learn about each plant. We cannot give individual health advice; your health practitioner can.
I am pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication. Can I take your herbs?
Talk to your health practitioner before taking any herb. Each product page and herb guide has a Precautions section with what is known for that plant.
Are your products suitable for children?
Our directions are written for adults. Ask your health practitioner before giving any herb to a child, and keep bottles out of reach of children.
Account, stock and alerts
A product is out of stock. When will it be back?
Add your email in the box under the price on the product page and we will email you the day it is back in stock. Stock differs between the US and UK stores, so a product that is out on one may be in stock on the other.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. An account saves your addresses and lets you see past orders and reorder. Track an order without signing in, using the order number and your email.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot your password on the sign-in page. The reset email arrives within a few minutes; check your spam folder if not.
Where can I see my past orders?
Sign in and open My Orders in your account. Each order can be reordered from there.
Practitioners and wholesale
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes, for stores, online retailers and health practitioners. Apply on the Practitioners and wholesale page. Trade accounts get wholesale pricing and free shipping over £100 on this store. Reselling on Amazon or eBay is not permitted, and there is no affiliate or commission scheme.
Can a practitioner order for clients?
Yes. Order at trade prices and have the parcel sent to you, or have us ship it straight to your client. Invoices go by email; the parcel carries no invoice or pricing.
Still have a question?
